New York Islanders lose physical forward on waivers, while Toronto Maple Leafs place forward on waivers
With NHL rosters due in approximately 3 hours, the New York Islanders have officially lost Ross Johnston on waivers. The Islanders waited until after the final waiver deadline to try and sneak the forward through, but were unsuccessful. Today it was announced that the Anaheim Ducks have officially claimed Johnston.

Johnston has 3 years remaining on his current deal with a cap hit of 1.1 million dollars per season.
It is also being reported that the Toronto Maple Leafs will look to sneak forward Bobby McMann through waivers today.
Bobby McMann is heading to waivers.
McMann missed all of the preseason due to an injury he suffered last season.
