Nottingham Panthers officially confirm the devastating news that Adam Johnson has passed away

Yesterday in the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL), the Nottingham Panthers had to evacuate the arena after a very serious injury to Adam Johnson in which he had his throat cut by a skate. Today, sad news has echo'd around the hockey world.
The Nottingham Panthers have officially confirmed Johnson has passed away as a result of his injures in yesterday's game.
The Nottingham Panthers are truly devastated to announce that Adam Johnson has tragically passed away following a freak accident at the game in Sheffield last night.
Johnson was just 29 years old. He had previously spent time in leagues across Europe as well as in the National Hockey League with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Our thoughts are with the Panthers, their fans and most of all the Johnson family at this time. This is truly devastating.
