The Colorado Avalanche players have partied more then the cast of "The Hangover" after knocking off the Tampa Bay Lightning last Sunday. The Avalanche returned to the promise land for the first time since 2001 Stanley Cup win.
The Avalanche were consistently considered one of the favorites to win the Stanley Cup, but until now they were just one of those teams that was good but not great especially in the playoffs. However, after knocking off the Lightning The Avalanche now have took that next step to be one of the great teams.
The fans in Colorado have been supporting the Avalanche all playoffs with watch parties and gatherings. But in a final show of support, they would all come together one more time for the Avalanche Stanley Cup Parade and Fan Appreciation Press Conference afterwards.
This could possibly be the biggest fan turnouts for a Cup Parade, as Sportsnet would reveal attendance was a reported 500,000 fans.
