One NHL General Manager is already at risk of being fired after disappointing off-season
Most of the time when General Managers get fired it's for their team's poor performance on the ice. But at least one General Manager has already put himself on the hot seat with a very lackluster off-season.
The Philadelphia Flyers have had a very underwhelming summer to say the least. After promising their fans they'd make impact moves to improve, they've done the exact opposite. The Flyers have only added Justin Braun and Nic Deslauriers this off-season and Flyers fans are unhappy.
That unhappiness has reportedly rolled over to team ownership. Reportedly if the Flyers aren't "noticeably better" to next season, General Manager Chuck Fletcher will find himself unemployed.
Fletcher has been the General Manager of the Flyers since December of 2018. The Flyers have missed the playoffs 3 of 4 seasons under Fletcher.
