Perry's agent disputes why he's away from the Chicago Blackhawks
In the last week, an incredibly strange storyline has been unfolding around Corey Perry and the Chicago Blackhawks. After signing him to a one year contract for $4M this offseason, Corey Perry had a great start with the team, proving a veteran presence and scoring 9 points in 16 games.
Then suddenly, Perry disappeared. He was made a healthy scratch for the team's game last week in Columbus, which was explained as an �organizational decision'. Soon after, Perry missed the next practice, and another game, prompting questions to his whereabouts.
Earlier today, Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson commented that it was the organization's decision to keep Perry away from the team, but now, Perry's agent is claiming he's only attending to a personal matter.
The conflicting claims and total lack of information at the moment creates a total mystery about Perry's condition and whereabouts. Hopefully, Perry is healthy and okay, and can return to game action soon.
