The game of hockey has always been a dangerous sport due to its sped and physicality, but there's always been dangerous hits that are avoidable, especially hits from behind, there's no place in the game for that type of action, it's good to see some leagues are taking hits like these seriously and punishing their players according.
For example, HockeyAllsvenskan the second tear Swedish League behind the SHL, has suspended a player 4 games for a dangerous hit from behind; take a look.
In a game between Djurgardens IF and Mora IK, Djurgardens forward Albin Grewe was suspended 4 games for an illegal hit from behind on IK defender Jakob Noren.
It's good to see a league taking a hit from behind so seriously. If only the National Hockey League was like this, they could probably get rid of all dangerous hits, not just hits from behind.
