Player sliced wide open by a skate to the face
Today in KHL action, another scary scene unfolded as a player was struck directly in the face by a skate. As the puck comes through the neutral zone a skate comes up and catches Kirill Urakov directly in the face.
Urakov immediately jumps to his feet and heads straight to the players bench, throwing off his helmet on the way. Urakov immediately applied pressure to his face before rushing off the ice for medical attention.
There has been no update on Urakov's condition, but hopefully it's not as bad as it looks.
