The Colorado Avalanche have taken a 3-1 series lead on the Tampa Bay Lightning and are now 1 win away from their first Stanley Cup since 2001. There's been a lot of contention from both sides regarding Nazem Kadri's overtime game winner last night, but surprisingly this Tampa Bay player doesn't have an issue with the non-too many men call that lead to the winner.
Tampa Bay veteran defensemen, Ryan Mcdonagh didn't have an issue with the non-call, in fact, he said it's a play that happens every game and is hard to call it happens so frequently throughout the course of a hockey game.
Here's his full quote:
Honestly if McDonagh isn't upset about the supposed non-call that's an indication that the supposed call or lack there of should not be turned into as big a deal as it was. In fact, if you look at the play objectively, both teams had too many men on the ice at the same time.
I understand the gamesmanship by cooper, but at this point it comes off as whiny and a little childish, it's nice to see a veteran step up and say what needs to be said
