Ryan Reaves provides details on physical altercation he had with an NHL coach
Ryan Reaves brings a unique skillset to any team that he plays for. The veteran forward is a leader in the locker room and someone who is known for holding anyone and everyone accountable. That is something that should be something extremely beneficial to a still growing Maple Leafs team.
Over the years Reaves has learned to control his temper when necessary, but as he detailed in a recent podcast appearance that wasn't always the case.
We come off from a shift, I think I turn it over and they had a couple of scoring chances and I sit down. So I'm all the way at the very end on the left side and Hitch is just f*cking screaming, "Reavo, you've gotta get the f*cking puck out."
I'm honest with myself, so I'll say, "yah, I know my bad, my bad."
Now I'm sitting again, "Reavo, f*ck me, you gotta get the f*ckin puck."
"Hitch, I know I heard you." Now he's right in front of me, "Reavo did you hear me?"
It's the only time I've really snapped. I turned around and I grabbed him by the tie. I was like, "if you don't shut your f*cking mouth, I'm going to strangle you with this f*cking tie."

Now I'm sitting again, "Reavo, f*ck me, you gotta get the f*ckin puck."
"Hitch, I know I heard you." Now he's right in front of me, "Reavo did you hear me?"

This is just another example of the passion that Reavo brings and why he'll likely be a fan favorite in Toronto for the Leafs.
