The St. Louis Blues and Colorado Avalanche continues their series tonight in St. Louis. The Blues were able to tie the series and steal home ice advantage.
During tonight's game, the Blues' Ivan Barbashev delivered a violent hit to Samuel Girard. Girard immediately grabbed at his head as he lay on the ice. Girard would eventually require assistance to the locker room.
The Avalanche provided an unfortunate update that Girard was forced to be taken to a local medical facility for monitoring.
There was no penalty on the play despite the hit clearly meeting the criteria for boarding.
