Scary Scene As Youth Collapses On The Ice
A scary scene occurred during a summer training session for a young goaltender.
Savva Skotnikov, goalkeeper of the Kazan «Ak Bars» children's and youth sports school, passed out during a training session at a special training camp and was hospitalized, where he was diagnosed with a ruptured aneurysm after testing. The 16 year old underwent successful surgery after rupture of a congenital cerebral aneurysm.
Savva is the younger brother of CSKA goalkeeper Vsevolod Skotnikov, who won the Gagarin Cup last season.
In a statement from the academy,
«Ak Bars Hockey Club provides comprehensive assistance to the hockey player and his family by keeping the situation under control.»
They stated that they would report changes in the hockey player's status, but would refrain from commenting until then.
We wish Savva all the best in his recovery.
