The World Hockey Championships are in their second day of competition as Sweden took on Austria earlier today as a scary scene unfolded.

In the final minutes of the third period top prospect in the upcoming draft David Reinbacher was taken out by Swedish defender Rasmus Sandin; take a look:

#IIHFWorlds Well, with this "hip check" by Rasmus Sandin, David Reinbacher's game is over and we'll see until when.

The comments that have come out suggest that he is being evaluated at the hospital to see the extent of the injury. The knee would have taken the brunt

This definitely isn't good for David Reinbacher as it appears to be a serious knee injury as he's been taken to the hospital for a full diagnosis.

One has to wonder if this will impact his draft stock depending on how things look after his hospital stay. This would be one of the reasons it's risky for draft-eligible players to play in the World Hockey Championship.

Let's hope for his sake Reinbacheris okay and the recovery time on the injury isn't too long
