While the start date is unclear, the Carolina Hurricanes and Florida Panthers are set to meet in the Eastern Conference Final at some point later this week. The two teams are facing each other for the first time in Stanley Cup Playoff history.

According to George Richards of Florida Hockey Now, the Hurricanes are reportedly restricted ticket sales for home games to credit card holders in North and South Carolina, as well as parts of southern Virginia. The restriction warning is on the Hurricanes' Ticketmaster portal and say that if anyone outside of the three locations mentioned above purchases tickets, the order will be canceled without notice and refunds given.

This situation is extremely similar to what the Florida Panthers did for their second round series against the Toronto Maple Leafs. They restricted their ticket sales to those who lived in Florida, but only for the first 24 hours, with Maple Leafs fans being able to purchase them afterwards. The Panthers did the 24 hour restriction so in order to allow their fans to have first dibs on tickets, according to team president Matt Caldwell.

Tickets for the Panthers' home dates in the series, which will be Games 3 and 4, went on sale on Saturday morning at 10 a.m. ET and this time around, the organization decided not to place any geographical restrictions on who can purchase them.
