Scary situation as NY Rangers player collapses on bench
Hockey is a very dangerous game, but not every injury occurs on the house. Tonight during an AHL game Anton Blidh, who signed a 1-year contract with the New York Rangers, collapsed on the bench during the 1sr period.
The first period has ended 2:39 early after @WolfPackAHL forward Anton Blidh was helped to the Hartford locker room after appearing to collapse.
Hershey emergency medical staff rushed a stretcher to Hartford's locker room. Scary. Wishing the best for Blidh. 🙏🏻
However as the 2nd period started, most people were shocked to see Blidh return to the game. According to sources Blidh had simply suffered from having the wind knocked out of him.
After the game Blidh was not made available to media, but the team reported he was doing fine.
