Scary situation unfolding in Boston
It's been an odd night in Boston tonight for Game 3. Earlier in the game a linesman ran into a member of the ice crew and narrowly avoided injury. Now during the second period there has been a lengthy delay due to the penalty box attendant suffering what could be a serious injury.
The injury occured after a fan banging on the glass knocked the panel out and onto the elderly penalty box attendant. The pane of glass appears to strike him in the head and neck area. A member of the Hurricanes' medical staff immediately sprinted across the ice to attend to the employee.
After being assessed a stretcher was called to remove the attendant from the arena. There is no update on his condition at this time.
