Senior hockey is not for the faint of heart. Sometimes, we've known this for a while, in fact, it can be down right vicious depending on the league.
Last night in the Wheatland Senior Hockey League out in Saskatchewan, the Craik Warriors faced off against Hudson Bay Hunters in what ended ended up be a 12-3 win for the Warriors. When that happens, players get frustrated, but in this case, it ended very badly for the Hunters player. Take a look:
Mike Reich of the Warriors took on Mason Coldwell and to say Coldwell was over matched is an understatement. From being off balance from the very start to how calm Reich was as he engaged with a glove still on one hand, you knew it was over before it even started.
Once Reich got his hand free and started feeding Coldwell uppercuts, you knew it was only a matter of time before he went down to the ice.
Let this be an important lesson, if you can't fight, you probably shouldn't grab on to someone's visor and try to initiate, if you do, you'll get dropped.
