One player on a PTO hasn't been able to leave a very positive impression is forward Sonny Milano.
Milano wasn't part of the Flames lineup that played Winnipeg on Wednesday night. The lineup that coach Darryl Sutter used was primarily made up of full time Nhlers who are penciled in the Flames lineup first game. He missed out on a 5-0 beating from the Jets.
Milano has suited up for three exhibition contests and have no points to show for it. He only had 12:46 minutes in ice time in Monday's loss to the Seattle Kraken, the third-lowest total amongst Flames forwards.
There are currently 15 forwards remaining in camp, the majority of which have a guaranteed spot on the club. The ones who still appear to be on the bubble are Milano, Cody Eakin, Adam Ruzicka, Brett Ritchie, Trevor Lewis and Kevin Rooney .Assuming Sutter chooses to go down to 13 forwards, that makes things very tough for Milano to crack the roster.
