It seems like the St.Louis Blues can't catch a break. Today General Manager, Doug Armstrong announced that defenseman Scott Perunovich will be out for at least 6 months due to a fractured shoulder injury that requires surgery.
Doug Armstrong goes on further to stipulate that the surgery has nothing to do with the previous injury that Perunovich suffered last season. Perunovich will be reevaluated in 6 months to see if he needs more time to get back to full health.
The former 2nd round pick sustained the injury during the Blues' 4-1 preseason win against the Chicago Blackhawks on Sept. 27. The Blues had high hopes for Perunovich who they expected to take a big leap forward this season.
