NYI Hockey Now is hearing from league sources that the New York Islanders 2022-23 Reverse Retro jersey will encompass the Fisherman logo and style.
These new uniforms will not be exact replicas of the jersey set the New York Islanders wore from 1995-1997, with a different, darker shade of blue, believed to be kind of similar to the Islanders' 2019-20 Reverse Retro color.
However, like the 1995-96 jerseys, the player names and numbers are believed to be white and outlined in orange.
The New York Islanders, whether it be in their store at the brand new UBS Arena or the store at their practice facility in East Meadow, have already been pushing fisherman apparel.
It would make sense that The Fisherman is making a comeback.
The Vancouver Canucks are also bringing back a jersey. The jersey appears to be modeled after those worn by the WHL's Vancouver Canucks in the 1962-63 season what was known as the Johnny Canuck logo.
"This re-introduction will mark the second time that the NHL has adopted reverse retros for regular season play, with the league debuting the program, in partnership with official jersey manufacturer Adidas, during the pandemic-shortened 2021 season."

The New Jersey Devils one looks pretty badass in it's own right having a bit of that 80's flavor.
The Washington Capitals have had fans demanding to bring back the eagle jersey after having their jersey now being picked as one of the worst in the NHL via fan vote.
The Buffalo Sabres are also working on one of this classic that was worn by Buffalo Sabres Legend Dominik Hasek.
