The Blues GM doesn't know what's going on with his goaltender

Jordan Binnington, is deeply polarizing in the game of hockey, as someone who instigates conflict with stars like Nazeem Kadri, who has swung a stick at him and threw a water bottle at the Flames centre as well.

That kind of behavior really didn't pay off too well did it?

Binnington would be injured in game 3 of the western conference semi final, after a collision between the Blues goaltender and Kadri (who was playing for the Colorado Avalanche), which resulted in a knee injury for Binnington.

The Stanley Cup-winning goalie thought he'd be able to avoid surgery on the injured knee and it seems like the status is unclear to Doug Armstrong.

Despite the initial animosity, Binnington met with the media at the Enterprise Center. He told KSDK: «It's a physical sport. And it's playoff time and he's gonna go to the net hard and it's how it goes. I don't think he intentionally was trying to do what he did to me, or for me to get injured, I should say. But I think he knows how to play hard, how to go to the net and it happens in this sport. For me, it is what it is. And I just kind of have to deal with it.»

After moving up-and-coming rookie Ville Husso, this is will be either really good news for the Blues, or if it turns out to be as bad as we think, could we see Charlie Lindgren in net long-term?

Binnington has not been able to keep up the same production as he once did during the Blues cup run in 2019.

It's troubling that the St. Louis Blues' own GM isn't keeping tabs on his own player's status.
