Things get heated after the final whistle between the Capitals and Canadiens
The Washington Capitals got a much needed victory versus the Montreal Canadiens 3-1 last night. It was
their first win of the season. After falling behind 1-0, the Capitals scored three straight goals to ensure the victory. It was also Darcy Kuemper's first win as the Capitals new goalie. He signed as a free agent after winning the Stanley Cup with Colorado.
As the game ended last night, Kuemper was ready to celebrate with his new teammates. However at first, no one came to congratulate their new goalie. As the final horn sounded ending the game, Capital skaters where mixed in a scrum with Montreal Canadiens players. As tempers flared up, TJ Oshie was surrounded by Montreal Canadiens.
After the shoving and scrum stopped, Kuemper got the congratulations and love he deserved for a good game played.
