Top prospect leaves the game unable to walk under his own power
With the preseason coming to a close teams are looking to finalize their rosters. Teams are trying to lock down their opening day rosters while also trying to avoid any serious injury. Unfortunately tonight for the Winnipeg Jets, it appears they may have lost top prospect Ville Heinola long term.
In the first period of tonight's game, Heinola collides with Erik Brannstrom. While the collision appears very innocent Heinola falls to the ice in pain. Heinola is unable to get to his feet and is forced to push himself to the bench.
After getting to the bench Heinola is still unable to get to his feet and has to be carried down the tunnel. The camera captures as Heinola is even carried into the Jets locker room.
