A coach in Alberta's minor hockey system has been suspended after he was caught on camera berating a young referee

Yet another example of why officials are becoming so hard to find in minor hockey. A video circulating on the internet captured a coach at the U13 level in Alberta going on a profanity-laced tirage against a young referee for apparently botching a call.

The video features the voice of Joel Litt-Jukes, coach of the Cochrane U13 AA team. In it, you can hear Litt-Jukes telling the official to "f--k off" and "f--k you", before really losing his cool.

"A blatant f--king trip and you put us in the box? What's your f--king problem? You always f--king do this. You f--king (inaudible). F--k you!"

You can then hear what sounds like banging in the video, before the coach yells more profanity and it ends.

I don't think anyone would deny that things can overheat at times at any level of play. But, this seems ridiculous. According to reports, the coach has been suspended for three games for the incident.
