Minnesota Wild fans and management can sleep better now. As today it was announced that superstar Krill Kaprisov has finally made it back to the United States safe and sound.
There has been concern for Russian born players after that Russian Government detained Philadelphia Flyers's prospect goaltender Ivan Fedotov who revealed his intentions to leave the KHL to play for the Flyers organization. Fedotov was arrested for and sent to a Artic Russian military outpost to fulfill military service.
Kaprizov was denied entry by the United States twice this summer and was forced to return to Russia because he didn't have a valid Visa. It was then revealed that after the Fedotov news Kaprizov allegedly used fake military credentials to avoid military duty. Many were unsure if Kaprizov would face similar fate.
Thankfully for Kaprizov that wasn't case. According to Michael Russo, Kaprizov landed safely and passed through customs earlier today. He's expected to arrive in Minnesota tomorrow.
