The Vancouver Canucks as an organization must've lost a ton of respect for the way they handled the Bruce Boudreau situation, but it only gets worse
During the press conference announcing the changes to the coaching staff today, Canucks general manager Patrik Allvin flat out lied, take a look:
Rick Tocchet, Patrik Allvin and Jim Rutherford meet the press.
Patrik noted that he made the decision to replace Bruce Boudreau «as of today» and that met with him this morning and «thanked him» for his contributions
Really, the decision to replace Boudreau took place today? That's interesting because Rick Tocchet needed to give his former employer TNT 4 weeks notice.
Tocchet was also in attendance for the 1pm local press conference meaning he had to of known before today he was next in line for the job in Vancouver.
Never mind the fact that Tocchet has been the remounted replacement for Boudreau since before the holiday break. Everyone knew this was coming, the least you could do is have the decency not to lie about it.
I didn't think the Canucks could look worse, but here we are
