Vegas Golden Knights goaltender takes a shot at classless Dallas Stars fan who threw popcorn at him
The Vegas Golden Knights find themselves one win away from the franchise's second appearance in a Stanley Cup final following a 4-0 victory over the Dallas Stars in Game 3. Vegas goalie Aiden Hill was sharp again making 34 saves, making history with his effort. This was the first-ever shutout win for the Knights' goalie in the playoffs.
The home crowd at the American Airlines Center were dissatisfied and angry at the home teams display in a must in game.
The frustration from Stars fans reached a boiling point during the end of the second period. Fans started to throw objects on the ice, resulting in officials calling the period off with 21 seconds remaining.
As the Golden Knights returned to the ice to conclude the rest of the second period, netminder Adin Hill was bombarded with popcorn.
When asked about the popcorn incident after the game Adin Hill said:
"I guess everything was hitting me tonight"
Hill has been supremely consistent since taking over the net from an injured Laurent Brossoit in the middle of Game 3 against the Edmonton Oilers. The 27 year old has a 6-1 record in the playoffs with a 1.96 GAA, and .940 save percentage.
Hill has been fighting for games since he broke into the NHL during the 2017-2018 season. He is a pending UFA this summer so the next stretch of games will be crucial for his career.
