Wild video - Fans attack soccer players after their team is relegated
Over the course of the hockey season we've seen some wild videos from the crowd. But nothing that's happened in a hockey arena comes even close to this. Today Saint-Étienne faced off against Auxerre, with the loser being relegated.
In typical loser fashion this game was drug out to penalty kicks. Ultimately a member Ste-Étienne missed a penalty kick, costing his team the game and to be relegated. The fans reacted as you might expect fans to react, well actually, they stormed the field and tried to assault the players with flares.
Ultimately the angry fans broke into the press conference room and took over the room. Of all the crazy things we've seen, we've never seen anything like this.
