Zdeno Chara spotted at NHL team's training facility ahead of training camp
Zdeno Chara left the Boston Bruins for a chance at another Stanley Cup, this after the Bruins opted to head in a different direction. This quest led him to spending time with the Washington Capitals and last season the New York Islanders. Ahead of the 2022/23 season it appears Chara may still be considering a return to the NHL for one more season.
Chara, 45, is a veteran of 1680 career games. In his 24 seasons Chara has also accumulated 680 career points while winning the Norris Trophy and Mark Messier Leadership Award along the way. Chara also captured the Stanley Cup in 2010/11 with the Bruins.
Zdeno Chara stopped by Warrior Ice Arena today, but I'm told he was just seeing old friends and there's no Bruins deal in the works.
This is the first time Chara has been spotted since the end of last season. But speculation is running rampant that Chara would like to return to the Bruins for one final victory lap.
If Chara chose to return to Boston it would return one of the final pieces of their last Cup run to the team.
