Canadian actor Keanu Reeves is known for being an actor, starring in movies such as Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure & The Matrix but well before he became one of the most well-known faces on the big screen the fifty-nine-year-old played hockey.
Reeves was a member of the De La Salle College during the 1981-1982 season. During this time, he became a prospect for the Ontario Hockey League's Windsor Spitfires. Unfortunately, due to injury, he had to retire, which led him to pursue acting.
The Spitfires along with Reeves himself announced that he signed a one-day contract all in the name of charity. All signed items will be auctioned off and the proceeds from the auction will benefit The Canadian Mental Health Association - Windsor.
Reeves has learned to carry himself in quiet confidence as his career has progressed. His kind disposition and warm demeanour are to be marvelled. To come together with the Spitfires on such an important initiative is nothing short of amazing and hopefully, the money raised will go a long way to help the mental health initiatives and support the greater Windsor community.
