Actor who played sports reporter in cult classic passes at 88
We have some sad news to report in the entertainment and hockey world as the actor who played Charlestown sports writer Dickie Dunn in the original Slapshot movie has passed away.
M. Emmet Walsh, who is credited with 233 acting credits died due to cardiac arrest, according to reports, he was 88.
Slapshot is arguably the best hockey movie ever created and because of it has a cult following to this day despite being forty-seven years old. The Hanson brothers have become mainstays in hockey discussions worldwide.
