Blake Wheeler requires help leaving the ice after sickening fall
Last week Tampa Bay Lightning defender Mikhail Sergachev suffered a broken leg after falling awkwardly. Unfortunately, tonight Blake Wheeler of the New York Rangers suffered a similar injury against the Montreal Canadiens.
In the first period of tonight's game Wheeler gets tangled up with a Canadiens forward and falls awkwardly onto his own let. Wheeler is obviously in a serious amount of pain and attempts to get to his feet. Wheeler ultimately was unable to get up and required assistance off of the ice.
Another scary leg injury in New York as this time Blake Wheeler falls awkwardly and needs help getting off the ice.
Wheeler was unable to put any weight on his leg, which is never a good sign. Our thoughts are with the forward and we hope this injury isn't as bad as it initially looks.
