Brad Marchand and Jack Eichel Share Their Thoughts on Playing at TD Garden In front of an American Crowd
Several NHL superstars have shared their thoughts about playing in the Four Nations tournament in Boston, including Bruins captain Brad Marchand.
It is hard to believe, but the Four Nations faceoff is already nearly over.
Each team has just one round robin game left before the tournament finale takes place on Thursday.
Team USA has already secured their ticket to the finale, but all three of the other countries are still in it, battling for the final spot.
Both the United States and Canada are battling key injuries as we approach the finale.
Matthew Tkachuk is confirmed to be sitting out Team USA's game against Sweden while Canada's Cale Makar is questionable for their game against Finland.
These injuries only play into the drama that has surrounded the tournament as it comes to a close.
Today was an off day for all the teams though, giving everyone time to recover and rest after travelling to Boston.
It will certainly be a different experience at TD Garden than it was at the Bell Center, but the fans will be just as passionate as Bruins Captain Brad Marchand noted in his comments ahead of the big game.
"It's a whole different element, you know, being in Boston, and obviously been there for a long time now. So it'll be a really special opportunity. They bleed for the sports you know, they take so much pride in being good teams, in the way they support their group, and, you know, they let you know every single day how much they care.
So it means a lot. You know, the high expectations they have there and the will to win, it makes it a lot more fun playing there."
Of course, Marchand will have the rare experience of playing in the building as a visiting member of Team Canada.
Meanwhile American NHLers like Jack Eichel and Adam Fox are excited at the equally rare opportunity to play in front of a home crowd in Boston.
"It's gonna be awesome. You have a lot of memories and that, that that arena, and you just have the home crowd and be, you know, somewhere that is so special to me. It's gonna be great. I'm really looking forward to it." -Jack Eichel
"They got a lot of history to it. I think hockey, and frankly, all their sports, their fans, have a lot of energy, a lot of passion."-Adam Fox
Most likely, Canada will advance to meet the United States in the Finale on Thursday.
As long as they hold of Finland at all they will advance, unless Sweden defeats the United States in Regulation, in which case, Canada will need a regulation win over Finland.
