Insider Reveals Matthew Tkachuk's Status for Final Round Robin Game Vs Sweden
An insider revealed Matthew Tkachuk's status for the game between the United States and Sweden, set to go down tomorrow night in Boston.
Last night's game between Team Canada and Team USA was emotional for everyone involved.
Right from the start, three fights occurred in less than 10 seconds in an attempt by the Americans to show they didn't like hearing Canadians boo their national anthem.
Matthew Tkachuk, Brady Tkachuk, and J.T. Miller all planned to do it before the game, and they went through with it.
The rest of the game went much more smoothly, but it was still intense for players, especially Matthew Tkachuk, who was looking to hit anything that moved on the ice.
In the third period of that historic game, Matthew Tkachuk was visibly injured but remained on the bench, showing great leadership and determination.
He didn't step on the ice for the last 12 minutes of the game, causing many fans to worry about his status ahead of Team USA's next game.
Fans had been waiting for an update since the end of the game, and Frank Seravalli finally announced details related to Tkachuk's status.
In breaking news, we learned that Tkachuk won't take part in tomorrow night's game due to the injury, but another update will be made later today by head coach Mike Sullivan about his status for the final game, set to go down on Thursday.

Tkachuk has been a key part of the United States' success, scoring three points in two games. If he were to miss the final game, possibly against Canada, it would be a tough loss for the States.
If Tkachuk is seriously injured, it would also be a tough blow for the Florida Panthers, who would need to cope with his absence going into the final stretch of the season.
