Brad Marchand caught on camera giving the Maple Leafs material
Last night Brad Marchand drove a dagger into the hearts of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Leafs Nation. Marchand's two goal game was the catalyst for the Bruins success and giving the team a 2-1 series lead. Marchand is an incredibly passionate individual, but cameras may have caught Marchand crossing the line just a little last night.
After Marchand scored a huge goal, he skated by the Maple Leafs bench and delivered what many feel is an ill advised chirp. As Marchand skates by the bench he shouts to the Leafs, "it's over in 5."
While many would consider this just part of the game, this is the sort of bulletin board material that teams can rally around. While many feel it is quite clear what Marchand said, others are disputing it claiming that Marchand told his team that there was still "35 seconds left".
Game 5 goes Saturday in Toronto and for the Maple Leafs this is as close to a must win as possible.
