The Colorado Avalanche and the Winnipeg Jets are about to kick off round one tomorrow night and the avalanche of Justin announced. They will be one of their star players for the entirety of round 1. This is a major blow and could result in an early exit if they're not careful.

According to Sportsnet's ElliotteFriedman. The avalanche have announced that for Jonathan Drouin will miss the entire first round against the Winnipeg Jets with a lower body injury; Take a look.

Drouin 29 had a spectacular season playing in 79 games for the avalanche collecting 19 goals and 37 assists for total of 57 points. He certainly had a bounce back year and proved that he could be a point producer even at times with his old teammate Nathan MacKinnon.

It won't take long to see if the absence of Drouin out of the lineup will impact the avalanche and how they play, but it's good of his calibre and shown this year is an entire playoff series.

The Colorado Avalanche and the Winnipeg Jets kickoff their first round playoff series tomorrow night at 7 PM eastern.
