The NHL's waiver activity is heating up as of late, and after two players on Tuesday, a further four have been waived by their respective teams on Wednesday.

With the NHL's roster freeze for the holidays coming into effect on Friday, we've seen plenty of roster maneuvering as of late from NHL teams, and on Wednesday we've seen even more.

With both Chris Wagner and Justin Dowling passing through waivers from yesterday, Elliotte Friedman is now reporting that four players find themselves on waivers on Wednesday.

First up is Tye Felhaber, who recently made his NHL debut for the Colorado Avalanche, and while he's been solid at the AHL level for the Colorado Eagles this season, it's clear that he may not be cut out for the NHL, and will likely pass through waivers and head back to the Eagles soon.

Then there's Marc Del Gaizo of the Nashville Predators, who has played in 20 games for the Nashville Predators this season with three assists in that time, with the 25-year old showing that with more time he could be a solid NHLer given patience and development.

Then there's Grant Hutton of the New York Islanders, who has played in 30 NHL games over the past six years for New York, but with just 1 goal and 3 points in that time, the 29-year old's opportunities are running thin.

Finally is Dylan Coghlan of the Winnipeg Jets, who has over 100 games of NHL experience with Vegas and Carolina, but with just one game on the Jets thin blue line in 2024/25, it's clear that he wasn't going to get a major shot with the team this season.

Of these four players, there's likely to be little interest around the league as most represent solid depth but very little beyond that, so with the roster freeze upcoming, expect all four to likely pass through waivers on Thursday.
