Johnny Gaudreau's widow Meredith shared another heartbreaking Instagram post-Saturday evening remembering brothers Johnny and Matthew.

Late last evening while everyone has still been trying to process the unimaginable tragedy that took the lives of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau. Johnny's widow Meredith shared another heartbreaking Instagram post remembering the brothers.

In the post, she remembers the two who were always side by side & attached at the hip, and while Matty was the younger of the two Johnny looked up to him and relied on him for everything. Meredith remembers how the duo was the best of friends and always there for each other despite being polar opposites. Finally, she remembers everyone wanted to be around them including herself, even if she took a back seat, she revelled in the fact that John genuinely loved his brother. She thanks Matty for being an amazing uncle & godfather and promises to be the best aunt when her nephew Tripp is born. She asks Matthew to take care of John and tells him she'll take care of Madeline and Tripp.

The message although heartfelt is also incredibly heartbreaking understanding that she's also grieving her loss, however, she may be using her grief as motivation and through strength to remember the times they all shared and to remind herself, Johnny, Matthew and others that although life will be incredibly difficult without them and not the same, they'll press forward.

To have a family lose two brothers along with all the other roles they played in so many people's lives has been crushing. The sadness we have all felt coupled with the other emotions through this entire incident has felt deafening. Thoughts and prayers are cliché but never enough. Hopefully, eventually, the Gaudreau family finds peace within themselves and through others.
