Matt Rempe penalized after teaching TVR not to watch his pass
The series between the New York Rangers and Washington Capitals has switched locations for game 3. The series has now shifted to Washington giving the Capitals home ice advantage. As Washington looks to claw their way back into the series, they'll have to go through young rookie Matt Rempe to do so.
In the first period of tonight's game Rempe let his presence be felt delivered a huge hit to Trevor Van Riemsdyk. The hit occurred against the end boards as TVR tried to watch his pass. Unfortunately for Rempe, the officials deemed this hit was interference and sent him to the box for 2 minutes.

Washington was unable to capitalize on this power play and trail 2-1 at the end of the first period. It will be interesting to see if Rempe continues to get called at a standard more severe than other players as his reputation seems to get him into a lot of trouble.
