We've seen it multiple times over the years that officials get hurt. It's occurred in the NHL, unfortunately today another professional sports official has suffered a medical emergency.
A scary scene has unfolded during a Sunday afternoon football game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Las Vegas Raider as a member of the Ravens chain Crew collapsed on the side line.
The Ravens took to their X account to provide an update on the employee's status as he was taken to hospital after the incident.
The game was stopped as medical personnel attended to the staff member experiencing the medical emergency. Medical staff looked like they performed CPR on the downed staff member and everyone on the field fell silent and took a knee. The staff member was then carted off the field.
In scary moments like this, we give thanks to the fast acting medical personnel on the scene who likely saved the staff members life because of their actions.
This is something that seems to be happening more and more often, but, thankfully, this medical emergency did not turn tragic because of the way the medical staff on the field were able to tend to the employee.
The game is now underway once more and our thoughts are will the staff member who was taken to hospital.
