Everyone in the hockey world has been on high alert when it comes to skate blade incidents since the tragic passing of Adam Johnson as a result of a skate blade that caught him in the throat. Last night, another narrow miss happened in the game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Boston Bruins.

Penguins forward Michael Bunting and Bruins forward Brad Marchand were tangled up near centre ice, as they separated, Bunting spun and appeared to fall forward, bringing him skate up as he was falling; take a look.

This is insane. I'm rattled man.

This was a reckless play by Bunting there's no doubt about that, but I'm not 100% convinced this was intentional based on the way the two players came apart. In any case, you have to attempt to keep your feet on the ice.

Thankfully, it appeared the skate blade caught Marchand in the visor and nobody was injured on the play, but it could've gone the other way very easily.
