After being suspended for over two years the NHL has officially made the decision to reinstate Joel Quenneville and Stan Bowman allowing them to pursue NHL jobs..

After being implicated in the Kyle Beach scandal both Joel Quenneville and Stan Bowman were suspended indefinitely by the NHL. The two men were reportedly involved in a cover-up that prevented a proper investigation from occurring. The league made the decision that their suspension would require both men to take part in rehabilitation programs.

After completing the initial work, the NHL still chose to not allow either man to return to the league, but it now appears that they have made the decision to reinstate both men. This comes as rumors have linked Stan Bowman to the vacant Edmonton Oilers general manager job.

The National Hockey League today announced that, effective immediately, Stan Bowman, Al Maclsaac and Joel Quenneville are eligible to seek employment in the NHL. For more than the last two and a half years, these individuals have been ineligible to work for any NHL team as a result of their inadequate response upon being informed in 2010 of allegations that Blackhawks' Player, Kyle Beach, had been assaulted by the Club's video coach.

Neither man is eligible to work until after July 10th, but at that time they will be allowed to return with no restrictions. This decision is likely to stir up some controversy, and will like be criticized for being announced on the busiest news day of the entire year.
