Pierre-Luc Dubois recently opened up about his time with the Los Angeles Kings, his comments should be cause for concern for the Washington Capitals organization.
Earlier this summer, oft-moved forward Pierre-Luc Dubois was traded one again, going from the Los Angeles Kings to the Washington Capitals. He's recently opened up about his experience with the Kings and it doesn't look too good on him to say the least.
According to an interview with a French outlet, La Presse and Hockey Feed, Dubois has shed some light on his time with the Kings.
Take it as you will but, I've always needed clear direction to be able to work at 100%,
Dubois continues by saying from the very first conversation with the Kings he wasn't clear on what was expected of him
I get confused when there are grey areas. I ask myself too many questions. It's something I've been working on since I was young. And, from my very first conversations with the team, I didn't really know what was expected of me. I didn't know where I fit in. You can't play well when you're asking yourself too many questions
Part of me understands this when you're a younger player, however, Dubois is now an NHL veteran and these things not only sound like excuses, but they ring hollow as well.
These kinds of comments should be worrying to the Washington Capitals and their fans at this point, we'll see if Dubois can turn his career around in Washington.
