Scary scene as coach collapses, game ended early

In what seems to be a far too common occurrence now, tonight a coach of the St. John's Sea Dogs collapsed on the bench. The incident occurred minutes into the third. During tonight's game against the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles.

The play was immediately halted. An emergency medical personnel immediately began to attend to the member of the coaching staff. Initial reports are as follows:

This is what we know.

At 19:06 of the third period, something happened behind the Saint John Sea Dogs bench. We don't know what happened or who it is.

The person has been taken off the bench on a stretcher.

The game has been called off with Cape Breton leading 6-0.

Multiple reports stayed that the person that collapsed was the Sea dogs head coach.

Due to the nature of this incident, the game has been canceled and there is no information whether it will be rescheduled or resumed at this time.

Due to a medical incident on the Saint John bench, tonight's game has been cancelled.
