Simon Kubicek Goes on Tirade Against Officials in ECHL

Simon Kubicek of the ECHL's Norfolk Admirals is one lucky guy for avoiding suspension for one of the worst tirades against officials you'll ever see.

Over the weekend, with the Norfolk Admirals taking on the Adirondack Thunder, Kubicek was called for a penalty late in the third and did not take kindly to it at all. Kubicek was shouting heading into the box. Once he gets in, he slammed the door, and then his helmet to the floor of the box. He continues shouting, and then leaves the box. I'm not sure if he had already been ejected at that point, the linesman had to escort him off the ice while he tried to make his way towards the referee. While leaving, Kubicek again slammed his stick on the glass, and then turned around before heading down the tunnel to destroy his stick on the door. Although not intentional, that one may have caught the linesman on the finger, something that is mentioned in the video.

Kubicek was back on the ice the very next night, once again taking on the Adirondack Thunder. He wasn't given a warm welcome.

Kubicek has 4 goals and 17 points with the Norfolk Admirals this season. He has 142 PIM in 55 games. The 22 year old has spent the bulk of his pro career so far in the ECHL.
