Less than two weeks ago, it had been reported that the shipment that was carrying bobblehead dolls of the likeness of Pittsburgh Penguins great Jaromir Jagr had been stolen, and the event in which the bobbleheads were to be distributed that had been scheduled needed to be delayed due to the unfortunate events.
Today the Penguins released a statement that explained, in part, that the stolen goods were recovered, but that it required some negotiations to have the stolen goods returned to them. The statement also indicated that those fans who were originally given vouchers in lieu of the dolls can begin to redeem their vouchers for the bobblehead dolls on April 6th & 7th.
Trucks and goods being stolen is nothing new, and in hindsight, a shipment of bobblehead dolls may not be exactly what criminals expected or perhaps even knew what to do with, but the happy ending with their returns helps with how disappointing the season has panned out at PPG Paints Arena.
Everyone who has followed hockey for a while knows how iconic Jaromir Jagr is to the city of Pittsburgh, the National Hockey League, and the game of hockey as a whole, whether here in North America or in Europe, so it's nice to see this situation result in a happy ending.
