Leevi Selanne, the only one of Teemu Selanne's sons who's still playing professional hockey, has found a new club for the 2024-25 season and will be heading to Sweden to continue his career.
In a post on Facebook on Sunday afternoon, Ockelbo HC, a team in Sweden's fourth tier of professional hockey - HockeyTvaan, announced that they've agreed to terms on a one-year contract for the 2024-25 season with Leevi Selanne.

This will be Selanne's first time playing professionally in Sweden and his new head coach Sam Bjorklund, is looking forward to having him join the team, saying that he's a hard-working player who is good transitionally.
Selanne, 24, had his contract terminated last month by Hokki Kajaanin, who play in Mestis, the second tier of hockey in Finland. The move made Leevi Selanne an unrestricted free agent and his future was uncertain before signing with Ockelbo HC.
Last season with Hokki Kajaanin, Selanne registered four points (two goals, two assists), 24 penalty minutes and had an even rating in 23 regular season games. He went on to appear in three games during the regulation round but failed to record any points.
