Toronto Maple Leafs make surprising trade at NHL Draft
The Toronto Maple Leafs have made a surprising trade at tonight's NHL Draft making a deal with the Anaheim Ducks.
Despite two of the top defenders remaining on the NHL Draft board the Toronto Maple Leafs have made the decision to trade back in tonight's NHL Draft.
Chris Johnston revealed the details of this trade.
Leafs get 31 and 58 from Anaheim
This trade helps the Maple Leafs recoup some of the draft Capital they have used in recent years to acquire help at the deadline. It makes sense for the Maple Leafs to get themselves into the second round because their next pick was scheduled to be in the fourth round.
The Anaheim Ducks immediately drafted Stain Solberg, who became the second Norwegian player to be drafted in the first round.
