Vancouver Canucks shock with late goal, send Nashville Predators home
The Vancouver Canucks and Nashville Predators faced off tonight in Nashville in a must win game for the Predators. Game 6 of this series was played in front of a sold out crowd, but unfortunately for the Nashville faithful they didn't have much to cheer for. Actually, no one had much to cheer for, for most of the game.
For the better part of the entire game, both teams played tentatively. It took over 58 minutes for someone to finally break the deadlock when Pius Suter finally broke the tie.

Nashville was unable to comeback late and the Vancouver Canucks punched their ticket to the second round and into a matchup with the Edmonton Oilers, which will guarantee a Canadian team will be in the Conference Finals.
The Canucks were able to rally through injuries to both Thatcher Demko and Casey DeSmith on the way to victory. Arturs Silovs was able to lockdown tonight's victory and a shutout in just his 3rd NHL playoff game.
