Vladimir Tarasenko is considered to be one of the top remaining free agents. In the past 24 hours he has been connected to the Pittsburgh Penguins who have reportedly shown interest in signing the veteran winger. According to a recently, however, the conversation between the two might be much further along than previously stated.
The email which had been sent out shares that Tarasenko had been signed to the team before going into important dates for the upcoming season. While this is still yet to be confirmed, there have also been conflicting reports that this email was simply a mistake. In the email, there are multiple errors including the mention of Macklin Celebrini making an appearance despite the fact he is yet to sign with a San Jose Sharks.
The timing of this seems rather poetic, especially after the Pittsburgh Penguins relieved 19 people of their duties earlier this summer. Since that time, their quality control and social media presence has fallen off significantly.
