Edmonton Oilers insider releases video revealing injury to star from the team's practice
When it comes to injuries in the playoffs, NHL teams are very private with that information. Teams try and keep everything close to their chest when it comes to giving themselves a competitive advantage. Usually teams rely on team reporters to try and keep as much as possible under wraps.
One Edmonton area reporter however apparently didn't get this memo. Today after Edmonton Oilers' practice Ryan Rishaug released footage recorded from a monitor of Connor McDavid showing a possible injury.
In the video McDavid can be seen nursing what is clearly a left leg injury of some sorts. There is no telling the severity of the injury, but it's clear by the clip that McDavid is not 100%, but during the playoffs no one ever is.
What surprised fans the most though was that Rishaug even released this footage.
So, this begs the question. Should reporters keep this stuff quiet or should they continue to do their jobs and report this information?
